Above are photos of solid wood floors we have installed

These were installed over a timber and concrete sub floor nailed onto the timber through the tongue (secret nailing) and glued onto the concrete, the right hand photo shows the floor going through the arch where the sub floor changed from concrete to wood.

We spent time getting the levels correct for the floor to follow through without any deviation in levels giving an even flat finish.

The skirting were removed and re fitted after the installation thus allowing a gap for expansion this gives a better finish to the floor a must on an instillation of this kind eliminating a scotia around the edge.

The center photo is a maple strip wood floor that went right through out the ground floor it was laid over ten years ago and looks as good today as the day it was installed.

This type of floor can be nailed, glued, some can be floated in a similar way to laminate floors over the sub floor, its important that the conditions are correct for the installation to take place sub floors must be sound and dry with no traces of damp in the area to be fitted.

We have photos of completed floors in our gallery we have installed in our gallery
