Luxury vinyl tiles offer a decorative alternative to wood and ceramic tiles hard wearing they have a number of uses in both domestic and commercial installations.

 

Using borders and feature strips as shown in the photos a highly decorative finish can be achieved, no expansion is needed in this type of installation so there's no need for a scotia or the removal of skirting.

 

It can be laid on both concrete and wood sub floors in most cases preparation is required to obtain the standard to install this type of flooring correctly, concrete will need to be prepared using a latex smoothing compound this gives the surface needed to fit the floor.

 

Timber floors usually need to be covered with a 6mm plywood to give the finish needed to fit the LVT this takes out the shape of the floor boards which would show through if not over laid with ply .
